Could be. But without an algorithm, the only way a post can get super viral is with constant reposts from others, otherwise it will be buried quickly.

This is the one downside of a chronologically based feed. If you don’t check Nostr for a few days then you will miss some of the most popular posts an algorithm would otherwise serve up.
